The Pig Hotel ‑ Madehurst

THE PIG-in the South Downs is made up of the main house with a traditional greenhouse restaurant, and rooms spread out between a higgledy-piggledy collection of traditional brick, flint and timber clad Sussex stable yard buildings. The restaurant revolves around their Kitchen Garden and they celebrate the seasons using only the best, freshest and most authentic foods and ingredients.

The South Downs Bunkhouse is situated at Houghton Farm very close to the point at which The South Downs Way crosses the River Arun with The Monarch’s Way also passing through the village. The Bunkhouse is the perfect option for walkers or cyclists travelling the South Downs Way on a budget, all within a 5 minute walk of the Riverside, The George & Dragon Pub and the Bridge Inn.

The Boat House Restaurant

The Boathouse is Jasper Gorst’s new venture. Formerly a restaurateur of 25 years in London, he has now turned all his knowledge and talents within the industry to focus on this delightful riverside setting in Amberley. The menu is inspired by the Mediterranean. Freshly made pasta, meat and fish dishes from the chargrill oven are created from artisan produce arriving daily from both local and foreign shores.
